Photo Caption: I spent Friday morning in a three-hour meditation. What a life-changing experience. Something about chanting for all the women of the world (be they two-legged or more) was deeply meaningful.

That morning my medicine bag cord broke. Sunday morning I recorded the self-sensory meditation and then my mala broke. I lost the center smoky citrine bead somewhere in the garden. After 30 minutes we stopped looking. Today I asked the garden if I could have it back after I saw all the lovely photos of me wearing them at Zion earlier this month. I went out and found it immediately even after looking there yesterday.

Then a friend posted that her mala broke and she shared that it means you’ve broke through a block or old trait. Given both broke, I guess some things have shifted! The bead felt very cleansed. I will cleanse the rest of the mala in our storms this week and restring it a new.

Anyway, Mantra works if you work it. Let’s keep breaking through the patriarchy!
