Ixchel Has Been Seen In
Sita Karam Kaur Ixchel, Flow Coach and Soul Alchemist
Hi! I’m Sita Karam Kaur Ixchel (sounds like ee-shell), Call me Ixchel. 🙂
I’m an author of Buzzing Blooms for Bees and Bee Mystic 🐝
I specialize in supporting intuitive changemakers, empaths and spiritual seekers who want to avoid burnout and amplify their radiance by helping them cultivate self-leadership thru daily FLOW rituals and change the world while they’re at it.
I know what it feels like to sail too close the sun without the right tools for the charge. Working with you before you burn out while reflecting back to you the earthbound supernova that you are, I will help you dust off your shine with self-care, spirit-care and a mid-flight refuel so you can be more effective, heart-centered and impactful as you make history, to show up brighter and more brilliant than ever.
But my first twenty years I learned it wasn’t safe to be seen as I fought to survive in a world that made me feel I wasn’t invited and didn’t belong. From deep in my mother’s womb, my twin and I held close for our lives in a violent and unpredictable home. My sister Heather protected me in the womb but left her physical form before we were born, she was with me during tumultuous times growing up. We found solace outside with the plant and animal spirits.
“Every blade of grass has its Angel that bends over it and whispers, Grow, Grow.” — The Talmud
In the next twenty years I found strength in surrounding myself with others that helped me feel I belonged — re-membering how to feel safe in my skin — so I could help others like my sister had helped me. Finding the alchemical gold in the hard rocks of violence, abuse and neglect I’d been through became my resilience superpower.
I was the first in my family to go to college (while also a single mom), I was the first indigenous Maya Latinx to serve as Vice Mayor of Petaluma, California, I’ve run for Congress and I’ve mentored other women who were running for office or running their own business . . . I know what happens when we go go go and I know what’s possible when we take 15 minutes a day (or less!) to breathe, pause and reflect.
Which is why I have 35 years of practice in consciousness exploration, meditation, feminist-based self-development and intuitive-based action and I bring it all to my work with change-making womxn leaders.
“We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.” — Alice Walker quoting June Jordan
I also hold a Masters degree from the California Institute of Integral Studies (with a focus on Integral Ecology) and a B.A. in Women’s Studies from Mills College, and a Permaculture Design Certificate. PLUS, I am Fellow of the Leadership Institute for Just and Resilient Communities.
My zone of genius is at the intersection of: plant-based and ancestral diets, Kundalini Yoga, plant medicine and ritual, feminism, political consciousness and Mayan Cosmology. When you work with me, I bring you to this intersection through intuitive-listening, deep experience and practical wisdom.
Which means: I have developed a keen sense of interconnectedness. I view the world, our bodies and our Work as ecologies. I can help you address imbalances in your life, body or leadership capabilities from this integrative and interconnected point of view.
