Our caretaker, Francisco, is so innovative and quick to create. He built this cool bench with a built-in table from a collection of inspiring photos on Pinterest (in 2 days!!!).

Today, we got the foam to size, plus they had pillow stuffing. And we got an empty cab to come back with it full of stuffing, on a Friday no less. I am truly blessed by angels. So grateful to be creating the life I want through daily vision and effort. *
They say your life is shaped by those you surround yourself with. I am grateful for my best friend, @bearfuht for sharing this adventure. I love how he says yes to all my boundless ideas. *

Beans pack a lot of nutrients, including potassium, zinc, iron, magnesium, folate, and vitamin B6, among others. They also contain a healthy dose of fiber, which is good for gut bacteria and keeps us regular. Plus, they’re cheap. Legumes also contain substances called lectins and phytates, which actually prevent our bodies from accessing all the nutrients we eat. Lectins are beneficial for plants and not so good for humans. They act as natural pesticides that ward off predators. But when you eat and absorb them, they can wreak havoc in the body and potentially contribute to leaky gut syndrome. Beans are a great source of fiber, protein and minerals. But they do cause digestive problems for some and if you are diabetic, a mostly bean diet can trigger spikes in blood sugar. Again, moderate amounts are ok – meaning about up to 1 cup a day. If you have an autoimmune condition, prediabetes or diabetes, or leaky gut, you might want to avoid beans or eat them only occasionally. I wanted to take a moment under this beautiful full moon 🌕 #fullmoonvibes to send you a love note to let you know what an incredible week this has been. Half way through our first 90-Day Challenge our clients are having big wins, being inspired by and celebrating each other as they shift their experience of food and transform how they fuel their bodies.

By eating the right food we can not only get healthy, lose weight and live longer but we can reverse climate change, save our scarcest resource – water, and end desertification. Industrial meat is full of hormones, antibiotics and pesticides, with more inflammatory omega-6 fats from corn and fewer anti-inflammatory omega-3 fats derived from a pastured diet. Cows and chickens prefer to graze on plants grown in pastures. When they are fed candy, corn or other grains, they suffer from acidosis and other gut issues, and need to be pumped full of antibiotics, vaccines and other medicines to fight infection, parasites and other diseases. On top of this, factory farms are destroying our environment. Mega-farms require a lot of natural resources and the waste produced from these farms pollutes local waterways, the air and the soil, all leading to health hazards for farming communities. The bottom line is: We have to stop eating factory-farmed meat and poultry. Grass-fed, pasture-raised meat is better for our environment and our health, and it’s better for our animals. In fact, if we want to get any of the benefits that meat can actually give us, we have to eat the best meat.
