Move to Amend national spokesperson David Cobb, attorney and former Green Party presidential candidate, is visiting Sebastopol this November in an effort to build connections, inspire activism, and reveal the origins of corporate power in America. Cobb will be accompanied by Margaret Koster, a Move to Amend organizer who coordinated a successful ballot campaign in Mendocino County.
Move to Amend is a national coalition of over 315,000 people and organizations whose goal is amending the United States Constitution to end corporate rule by building a multiracial, cross-class democracy movement. David will be giving his talk “Creating Democracy & Challenging Corporate Rule,” a rousing presentation about the story of the American creation myth and the Constitution as it pertains to Corporate Personhood and illegitimate but legal corporate constitutional rights. Following this heart-felt call-to-action, David and Margaret will lead a discussion about local participation with Move Amend in Sonoma County!
This event is free and open to the public, hosted by Sonoma County Move to Amend. We appreciate your donations to help us finance these tours, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
